Lucknow: The investigation into the killing of BJP leader Shivam Singh outside a nightclub in Vibhuti Khand, Lucknow, has intensified, with police identifying four additional suspects based on CCTV footage and interrogation of arrested accused.
Four More Suspects Identified
According to police officials, surveillance footage from the area around the Jalwa Club and inputs gathered during questioning of arrested suspects revealed the presence of several unidentified individuals at the scene during the incident. Following this, four more suspects have been identified, and special police teams have been deployed to trace and arrest them.
Authorities said continuous raids are being conducted at multiple locations as the investigation progresses.
Main Accused Already Arrested
Police confirmed that the prime accused, ₹25,000 reward holder Anuj Singh, has already been arrested from the Mughalsarai area of Chandauli district. A country-made pistol was also recovered from his possession during the arrest.
Earlier, police had arrested and sent to jail three other accused: Shantanu alias Ankit Rawat from Aliganj, Honey Tiwari alias Vivek, and Vivek Singh from Azamgarh.

Incident Details
The victim Shivam Singh, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha district committee from Ramnagar Dhaurahara area in Rounaahi, Ayodhya, had come to the club on the night of May 25 along with his friends Nilesh, Zeeshan, and another companion.
Police said the incident occurred in the early hours of May 26, around 3 a.m., when a dispute allegedly broke out over smoking outside the club. The altercation escalated, and attackers reportedly assaulted Shivam Singh with bricks and stones, leading to his death.
High-Level Attention and Administrative Action
The high-profile nature of the case drew strong reactions at the state level, prompting administrative action against several police officials. ACP Vibhuti Khand Vinay Dwivedi, then Inspector Amar Singh, and two sub-inspectors were removed from their posts following the incident.
Ongoing Investigation
Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Dr. Diksha Sharma said that additional suspects have been identified and police teams are actively working to apprehend them. She assured that all accused involved in the case will be arrested soon as the investigation continues to progress.
